The Cotton Cafe opens in Monroe
After months of renovation and planning, Alexis Burton’s dream of owning her own coffee shop and café became a reality earlier this month in downtown Monroe. ECG worked closely with Monroe’s Downtown Development Director Sadie Krawcyzk to identity the market need and the evaluation of space for a coffee shop in the community. (more…)

Beaulieu International Group to create 350 jobs in Bartow
Governor Nathan Deal announced today Belgium-based Beaulieu International Group (B.I.G.) will establish its U.S. headquarters and create 350 jobs in Cartersville over the next five years. The campus will be constructed on 120 acres directly across from the Highland 75 industrial park on land previously owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev. In the first phase, B.I.G. will design and produce 47 million square yards of cushion vinyl for commercial and residential application. (more…)

It’s a Great Day in Screven County
SV Pittie Textiles broke ground today for a $70 million facility near Sylvania, GA in the Screven County Industrial Park. The India-based textile manufacturer will employ 250 people when fully operational. At the ground breaking, Georgia’s Governor Nathan Deal credited the October 2013 announcement as a factor that caused Site Selection magazine to designate Georgia as the No. 1 place in the nation to do business. Hitachi Automotive has Completed Third Production Facility in Monroe, GA
Hitachi Automotive has completed its third production facility in Monroe, GA. The expansion will add up to 250 new jobs by March 2017 with an expected $80 million investment by the company. The additional production facility will add 290,000 sq. ft. to the existing 230,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing floor space. The plant will continue to produce valve timing controls and propeller shafts and begin producing new products including electric power steering systems, variable displacement pumps and others in the new facility in 2016. The Lakes at Green Valley in Griffin lands Second Company
Gov. Nathan Deal announced today that Japan-based Toppan Printing Co., Ltd will create 80 jobs and invest $100 million into a new facility at The Lakes at Green Valley in Griffin, Georgia’s first eco-friendly park. (more…)
