Golden Boy Foods to Expand Fitzgerald, GA Operation
Golden Boy Foods – a division of Post Holdings headquartered in St Louis, Missouri – has announced an expansion at their Fitzgerald, Georgia manufacturing location. According to Jack Warden with Golden Boy Foods, the plant will be expanding their peanut roasting operations requiring an investment in the $8 – $10 million dollar range. The expansion requires an addition onto the existing manufacturing plant to accommodate the roaster which according to Warden will be the largest within the Golden Boy Foods network.

Hydroponic greenhouse to locate in Peach County, Georgia
Pure Flavor evaluated over 300 sites in each state that met initial criteria, before narrowing it down and focusing on 50 sites. In the process, the Blueforest team of Susan and Sarah van de Merwe contacted the Georgia Department of Economic Development, where they discovered Peach County potentially possessed many of the critical greenhouse development features their client needed.

Rinnai to create 300 jobs in Griffin, GA
Gov. Nathan Deal today announced that Rinnai, a home appliances manufacturer, will create 150 jobs and invest $69 million with the completion of the company’s first U.S. manufacturing facility in Griffin. Rinnai expects to create a total of 300 jobs with this new facility over the next 10 years. The new facility will support the manufacturing of tankless water heaters, Rinnai’s top selling U.S. product. New jobs created will include positions in manufacturing.

BMW to Build Technical Training Facility in College Park, Georgia
The City of College Park, Georgia announced today the sale of 4.1 acres of land to BMW of North America on the campus of the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park. The land will be used to construct a new BMW Technical Training Facility.
“We’re excited to have BMW join the corporate landscape here in College Park,” said Mayor Jack P. Longino. “The brand is well suited for success in the region, and we’re poised to support them to the attainment of that goal.”

Lidl to create 250 jobs in Bartow County
Gov. Nathan Deal today announced that Lidl, one of the world’s largest retailers, will create 250 jobs and invest $100 million over the next five years in a new regional headquarters and distribution center in Cartersville.
