Corvaglia Group to invest in Coweta County with U.S. expansion
The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) today announced that Corvaglia Group, a Switzerland based supplier to the beverage industry, will build a new manufacturing facility in Newnan. The new operation will create a variety of advanced manufacturing jobs and bring an investment of $25 million to Coweta County.
“Our economic development successes are based on strong partnerships, and Corvaglia’s decision to build a facility in Newnan is a result of these efforts,” said GDEcD Commissioner Pat Wilson. “Our economic development partners played a huge role in landing this project, and I am grateful for their commitment to the state. Coweta County is perfectly suited to meet the needs of this company, and I look forward to their future success.”

Golden Star Inc. chooses Thomaston, Georgia it newest manufacturing facility
The Thomaston-Upson Industrial Development Authority (IDA) is pleased to announce the sale of the speculative building located in the Central Georgia Business and Technology Park. Golden Star, Inc. plans to invest $5 million and create 30 jobs in 2018. The company manufactures industrial cleaning supplies such as wet mops, dust mops and textile cleaning systems. The 109 year old company has a corporate headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas and manufacturing facilities in Kansas and Nevada, as well as two dedicated supply chain partners in China and a manufacturing facility in Vietnam.

Golden Boy Foods to Expand Fitzgerald, GA Operation
Golden Boy Foods – a division of Post Holdings headquartered in St Louis, Missouri – has announced an expansion at their Fitzgerald, Georgia manufacturing location. According to Jack Warden with Golden Boy Foods, the plant will be expanding their peanut roasting operations requiring an investment in the $8 – $10 million dollar range. The expansion requires an addition onto the existing manufacturing plant to accommodate the roaster which according to Warden will be the largest within the Golden Boy Foods network.

Hydroponic greenhouse to locate in Peach County, Georgia
Pure Flavor evaluated over 300 sites in each state that met initial criteria, before narrowing it down and focusing on 50 sites. In the process, the Blueforest team of Susan and Sarah van de Merwe contacted the Georgia Department of Economic Development, where they discovered Peach County potentially possessed many of the critical greenhouse development features their client needed.

Rinnai to create 300 jobs in Griffin, GA
Gov. Nathan Deal today announced that Rinnai, a home appliances manufacturer, will create 150 jobs and invest $69 million with the completion of the company’s first U.S. manufacturing facility in Griffin. Rinnai expects to create a total of 300 jobs with this new facility over the next 10 years. The new facility will support the manufacturing of tankless water heaters, Rinnai’s top selling U.S. product. New jobs created will include positions in manufacturing.
