Golden Star Inc. chooses Thomaston, Georgia it newest manufacturing facility

The Thomaston-Upson Industrial Development Authority (IDA) is pleased to announce the sale of the speculative building located in the Central Georgia Business and Technology Park.  Golden Star, Inc. plans to invest $5 million and create 30 jobs in 2018.  The company manufactures industrial  cleaning supplies such as wet mops, dust mops and textile cleaning systems. The 109 year old company has a corporate headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas and manufacturing facilities in Kansas and Nevada, as well as two dedicated supply chain partners in China and a manufacturing facility in Vietnam.

2017 ECG | MEAG Power Economic Development Bus Tour

August 29-30, 2017 the Economic Development Bus Tour traveled through west Georgia visiting eight ECG communities. We will visit College Park, East Point, Fairburn, Grantville, Hogansville, LaGrange, Newnan and West Point.

Bus tours are provided each year to highlight our communities and available properties. Representatives from ECG, MEAG Power, State of Georgia Economic Development, Department of Community Affairs, Georgia Municipal Association and others participate in the tour to become more familiar with the community and its individual qualities. The tour offers each community a great opportunity to showcase its many attributes and pro-economic development atmosphere.
