ECG’s Office of Economic and Community Development welcomes new team members, Morgan Ferguson, Research Analyst, and Jon McBrayer, our GIS Analyst. At ECG, we value the significance of a capable and varied team, recognizing the ever-evolving landscape of economic development. We are confident that they will bring innovative ideas and fresh perspectives to support the growth of our Georgia Energy Cities.

The Economic and Community Development Office at ECG is strengthening its mission to provide ample resources for our Georgia Energy Cities, serving as a single point of contact to provide both timely and effective statewide industrial site selection assistance.

The ECG Technical Solutions team provides tailored research, comprehensive GIS mapping, and top-notch marketing resources to businesses seeking to expand, relocate, or establish their presence in Georgia. Our data visualization services provide a unique and insightful dimension to the analysis, enabling businesses to view potential expansion locations from a fresh perspective and make informed decisions with added confidence. It is with this in mind that we welcome two new faces.

Morgan Ferguson and Jon McBrayer join our Technical Solutions team, working with Michelle Holbrook, Director of External Affairs. They will work with our member communities to provide market research, analysis, and mapping, delivering various customized marketing materials to enhance our member communities’ economic development efforts.

Prior to working with ECG, Morgan served as the Economic Research Manager and grant administrator at Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA) where she discovered her passion for economic development and supporting the various industries in the number one State for Doing Business – Georgia.

Before joining ECG, Jon served as a GIS Manager and GIS Planner for the Northeast Georgia Regional Commission where he worked directly with local government staff, elected officials, and members of the public on a variety of projects. In addition, Jon served on the Georgia Association of Regional Commissions (GARC) Technology Committee and GARC GIS Committee where he worked on statewide projects and solutions.

We are committed to fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment where all team members can thrive and contribute meaningfully. We look forward to working with our new analysts and achieving great things together!
