We want to minimize municipal red-tape whenever it impedes a business friendly environment. Enhancing existing infrastructure is critical to furthering that business-friendly environment and quality of life. New parking solutions and possible high-speed rail are envisioned.”

In this issue, Pretoria Farms, LLC is bringing an 18,000 square foot microbrewery facility in downtown Albany, GA and along with it a great deal of excitement for a city eager to revitalize its city core. This project will put downtown Albany among a growing list of cities such as Athens, Columbus, Macon, and Savannah, who have embraced the growing trend of locating microbreweries as anchors for their downtown. “This project has the opportunity to transform our downtown; other restaurants and retail will likely follow,” explains Albany Mayor Dorothy Hubbard.
