Hitachi Automotive has completed its third production facility in Monroe, GA. The expansion will add up to 250 new jobs by March 2017 with an expected $80 million investment by the company. The additional production facility will add 290,000 sq. ft. to the existing 230,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing floor space. The plant will continue to produce valve timing controls and propeller shafts and begin producing new products including electric power steering systems, variable displacement pumps and others in the new facility in 2016.
