Tractor Supply Company to Open in Thomaston!
ECG’s Economic & Community Development Team is proud to announce a Retail project locate. Tractor Supply Company will open in Thomaston at the start of 2013 and will bring a dozen new jobs.
Tractor Supply Company is the largest retail farm and ranch store chain in America and has located in a building in Thomaston that formerly housed a Winn Dixie. The city’s utility provides electricity to the site. ECG worked closely with Chamber of Commerce Director, Lori Showalter Smith, on this project.
“Lori provided Jason with available building details, and then he prepared our demographics and reached out to Tractor Supply,” said Patrick Comiskey, Thomaston City Manager. “Tractor Supply will be an asset to Thomaston’s growing retail sector. Our Chamber of Commerce worked closely with ECG Retail Economic Development – a partnership that is yielding results.”
Jason Fritz, ECG’s Retail-Commercial Development Associate, attracts retail businesses exclusively to ECG Communities. “Our retail focus on economic development is a unique advantage for ECG Communities,” said Fritz. “The City of Thomaston and the Chamber of Commerce have positioned themselves as an attractive location for retail businesses.”
