Anheuser-Busch to Expand in Cartersville
The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) today announced that longtime Bartow County community partner Anheuser-Busch will expand operations at its facility in Cartersville, Georgia, generating an $85 million investment and 12 new jobs.
“Anheuser-Busch is a source of pride in Georgia’s advanced manufacturing lineup, and this Cartersville plant expansion will allow continued competitiveness within the beer industry,” said GDEcD Commissioner Pat Wilson. “We appreciate Anheuser-Busch’s continued investments in Georgia and dedication to the community. Our economic development partners deserve tremendous credit for supporting our existing industries and helping position them for continued success.”

The Talent Pool: Humans and Robots Keep One Another Afloat
The backbone of the US economy is the manufacturing industry, which has significantly evolved in its use of technology to handle jobs originally managed by people. For example, Artificial Intelligence (AI) initially handled the heavy duty lifting in manufacturing that humans could not do, and now it can also handle physiological as well as repetitive intellectual duties. AI is useful in performing the daily redundant tasks like filling in details, assembling, customizing, monitoring the production levels and doing quality controls.
