Electric Vehicle Manufacturer TEKLAS opening its first North American Facility and Headquarters in Calhoun, Georgia

Governor Brian P. Kemp today announced that TEKLAS, a Turkish advanced research and development, manufacturing company and supplier of electric vehicle (EV) parts, will invest $6.5 million in opening their first North American facility and headquarters in Gordon County, delivering 120 jobs to Calhoun.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome TEKLAS to the Peach State,” said Governor Kemp.

Anheuser-Busch Cartersville Brewery Announces Expansion

The $150 million investment is part of company’s overall efforts to drive a safe and strong economic recovery

Anheuser-Busch today announced that as part of its commitment to supporting the safe and strong recovery of the U.S. economy, it is increasing its investment in its Cartersville brewery from $85 million to $150 million.

General Mills Expands Covington Operations, Creates 40 New Jobs

Governor Brian P. Kemp today announced that leading global food company General Mills is expanding their Cinnamon Toast Crunch production operations in Covington, Georgia. Improved operations begin next week at the newly expanded facility.

“With Global Fortune 500 companies like General Mills continuing to choose Georgia for their expansion projects, our state’s business community, top-ranked workforce training programs, and unmatched logistics network remain strong,” said Governor Kemp.

Georgia Named ‘Top State for Doing Business’ for 7th Consecutive Year

Prior to a tour of the new Amazon fulfillment center in Gwinnett County today, Governor Brian P. Kemp announced that Georgia has been named the “Top State for Doing Business” for the seventh year in a row by Area Development

The executive publication’s annual poll of nearly fifty leading site consulting firms from across the U.S. weighs thirteen different factors to make this determination.
