ECG’s Economic & Community Development team is proud to announce a Retail project locate. A few weeks ago, the grand opening for the newest Dollar General retail-grocery store was held in Thomaston, GA. The store is over 15,000 square feet, will employ 15 people and have a $2,000,000 investment.

Dollar General Corporation is the nations’s largest small-box discount retailer, whose mission is to serve others. They design small neighborhood stores with carefully edited merchandise assortments to make shopping simple. This new location features a fresh layout, designed to make shopping easier and simpler for customers. Dollar General is deeply involved in the communities it serves and is an ardent supporter of literacy and education.

Daryl Ingram, ECG’s Vice President of External Affairs, said, “Our Retail-Commercial team worked to bring this project to Thomaston. They have positioned themselves as an attractive location for retail business.”
