Forquímica to create 80 jobs in Colquitt County, Georgia

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced that Forquímica, a developer of sustainable agricultural products, will create 80 jobs and invest $1 million in Moultrie. New jobs will include positions in general services, management, marketing and sales.

“Agribusiness remains the top industry here in the No. 1 state for business due in part to innovative companies like Forquímica,” said Deal. “Forquímica’s leadership recognizes the benefits of operating in our top-ranked business economic environment and we appreciate this investment. Our network of resources, deep talent pool and strategic location in the Southeastern market will provide Forquímica with a solid foundation for continued growth and success.”

“We are grateful that Forquímica chose Colquitt County to invest their financial resources and talent,” said Greg Icard, vice president of the Moultrie-Colquitt County Development Authority. “This was a fast-moving project that recently considered Colquitt County in their selection process and it took all partners working together to make this a success. Our efforts in recruiting industry are producing positive results which translate into opportunities for our citizens.”

“After four years working alongside farmers in South Georgia, Forquímica is very excited to join and to be part of the Moultrie community as we start our crop nutrition manufacturing plant,” said Reginaldo Zandonade, manager of Forquímica’s Moultrie facility. “We are looking forward to growing together for many years to come.”
