Overview of Electric Cities of Georgia, Inc.

Since 1957, Electric Cities of Georgia, Inc. (ECG) www.ecoga.org has served as the voice of Public Power in Georgia. The Participants of ECG own approximately $17 billion in utility assets and serve over 500,000 utility customers with a variety of services including electricity, natural gas, telecommunications, cable TV, water and sewer. 

ECG is a not-for-profit full service organization offering its Participant communities a scope of professional services and innovative strategies through a joint action process. These services center on several core areas including, but not limited to, economic and community development, electrical distribution engineering & operation, best practices in utility rates, sales and marketing.

ECG understands clearly its civic responsibility of continually investing in the growth of Georgia’s economy. In partnership with the State of Georgia’s Department of Economic Development, ECG represents all of Georgia’s 159 counties to prospective companies from around the world. Since 1984 Location Georgia, A Service of ECG, through its professional staff and resources, has assisted an array of diverse national and international companies by acting as their Georgia liaison in providing data and introducing key representatives as they relate to properties and communities.
